Protective style challenge
Hey Guys, how have things been, I wanted to share my protective style challenge, I saw it on a blog Black hair information I think, I noticed my hair grows better when my hair is in protective styling,I didn't make my hair at all during the month of December 1st - January 16th big mistake because of the harmattan so I didn't see any visible growth, but I intend to see visble growth this year and I want to be able to do a perfect puff by this time next year,My protective style is Kinky twists, I will carry this style for a month and then change, I will oil my scalp daily and clean it on Saturdays, deep condition until the day, I take the twists down. I will keep you posted
My hair journey so far
I decided to go natural sometime in March 2014, After I have had my last relaxer and had my hair strawed, it was a disaster, I read a book "Americanah " written by Chimamanda Adichie, it changed my point of view, I went on youtube and I saw videos, I did several research and I decided to go natural, my last relaxer was March 12th and I big chopped July 25th and I never looked back, today is January 17th, and so far I have enjoyed it and I will continue to enjoy it Amen.
That was a day after I big chopped and the next picture is a picture taken on the 16th
Hey there ,my name Is Ifueko people call me Ify, I decided to start this blog Because of the following reasons
1. Initially as a natural hair journal
2. To promote natural hair
There are not many Nigerian Natural hair blog ,well we have the likes of nappilynigeriangirl ,Beautifully nappy , Nigeria,get your sizzelle on, etc but we have over 55 million Nigerian women so we need more blogs , women have to be aware about the beauty of Natural hair and the danger of relaxers . I appreciate the previously mentioned blogs I learnt a lot from them , in time I will love to interact with the editors one on one and show my gratitude to them because I have learnt a lot from them , well that's it for now , More stuffs will be coming , please spread word about my blog God bless
